Getting started

1. Install Think2Unlock on the child's iPhone (iOS 17 or later).
2. Open it as the parent: choose the child's name, set a parent PIN (4–6 digits), approve the Screen Time permission, and pick the apps that should always stay open (Phone, Messages, WhatsApp…). Pick individual apps, not whole categories.
3. Tap Start. The phone locks immediately. From now on it opens for 25 minutes after each quiz.

Recommended: protect the setup

A child can revoke the Screen Time permission or delete the app from iOS Settings. To prevent that, on the child's phone go to Settings › Screen Time, turn on Use Screen Time Passcode with a code the child does not know, and under Content & Privacy Restrictions › iTunes & App Store Purchases set Deleting Apps to Don't Allow.

The lock screen covers Think2Unlock itself

Open the parent area (gear icon, parent PIN) and add Think2Unlock to the allowlist. Tap Save.

Can the child still take calls while locked?

Incoming calls always ring through the iOS call screen. To answer a WhatsApp or FaceTime call, that app has to be in the allowlist (parent area › Always-open apps); an allowed app is then fully usable, iOS offers no "calls only" exception. Apps in iOS Settings › Screen Time › Always Allowed (Phone by default) are never blocked. If the unlock window ends during a call, the phone stays open 15 more minutes and checks again, so a call is never cut off by the lock.

The phone did not re-lock after 25 minutes

Open Think2Unlock once; it re-checks the timer every time it comes to the foreground. If this happens repeatedly, make sure the Screen Time permission is still granted (a red banner shows when it is not) and that Low Power Mode is off, which can delay background tasks.

I forgot the parent PIN

Delete the app and install it again; this removes the lock and all settings. For this reason, keep the PIN somewhere safe.

How do I remove the lock completely?

Parent area › Reset app, or delete the app. Either way the shield is removed immediately.

Can I use it on an iPad or with Family Sharing?

Version 1.0 supports iPhone only and is set up directly on the child's device. No Family Sharing group is needed.

ילד יכול לבטל את הרשאת זמן המסך או למחוק את האפליקציה מהגדרות iOS. כדי למנוע זאת, בטלפון של הילד נכנסים ל-הגדרות › זמן מסך, מפעילים שימוש בקוד זמן מסך עם קוד שהילד לא מכיר, ותחת הגבלות תוכן ופרטיות › רכישות ב-iTunes וב-App Store מגדירים מחיקת אפליקציות ל-אל תאפשר.

אפשר לקבל שיחות בזמן נעילה?

שיחות נכנסות תמיד מצלצלות במסך השיחה של iOS. כדי לענות לשיחת WhatsApp או FaceTime, האפליקציה צריכה להיות ברשימה הלבנה (אזור הורים › אפליקציות שתמיד פתוחות); אפליקציה שסומנה פתוחה לגמרי, ב-iOS אין אפשרות של "שיחות בלבד". אפליקציות ברשימת "מותר תמיד" של זמן מסך (טלפון כברירת מחדל) לעולם לא נחסמות. אם חלון הפתיחה מסתיים באמצע שיחה, הטלפון נשאר פתוח עוד 15 דקות ובודק שוב, כך שהנעילה לא מנתקת שיחה.

הטלפון לא ננעל מחדש אחרי 25 דקות

פותחים את Think2Unlock פעם אחת; היא בודקת את הטיימר בכל כניסה לחזית. אם זה חוזר על עצמו, ודאו שהרשאת זמן המסך עדיין מאושרת (מוצגת כותרת אדומה כשהיא חסרה) ושמצב חיסכון בסוללה כבוי, כי הוא עלול לעכב משימות רקע.

שכחתי את קוד ההורה

מוחקים את האפליקציה ומתקינים מחדש; זה מסיר את הנעילה ואת כל ההגדרות. לכן כדאי לשמור את הקוד במקום בטוח.

איך מסירים את הנעילה לגמרי?

אזור הורים › אפס את האפליקציה, או מחיקת האפליקציה. בשני המקרים מסך הנעילה מוסר מיד.

אפשר להשתמש באייפד או עם שיתוף משפחתי?

גרסה 1.0 תומכת באייפון בלבד ומוגדרת ישירות במכשיר של הילד. לא נדרשת קבוצת שיתוף משפחתי.
